Generally, any information collected by the Democratic Labour Party (DLP) is provided by you through registration, feedback and comment forms and telephone conversations and emails. We also collect information from sources that are publicly available.

We only hold information about you if it is relevant to your enquiry, or comment. Such information generally includes your name, contact details, comments and any other records of correspondence.

Personal information provided to the DLP and information collected by the DLP will not be disclosed to any other third party except where legally required.

You have a right to access your personal information, subject to exceptions allowed by law. If you would like to do so, please let us know. You may be required to put your request in writing for security reasons.

Donations

Donations up to $1,500 to registered political parties may be tax deductible. Donations of over $12,100 are subject to disclosure under the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918. This is the reason we require your personal details when making a donation.
